Brown-RISD Master of Arts in Design Engineering

Shih-Hsuan Huang is an industrial designer, research engineer and product manager who explores the opportunities and impact of futured technologies, human centered approach and sustainable thinking. He does this through hands-on experiments in consumer product development and biomedical product design. His work is guided by a strong belief in design as a problem-solving tool, as a way of recognizing and forming relationships between ideas and reality.  He received his bachelor degree in Chemistry and Master degree in Photonic from Taiwan University. After working as a research engineer and advancing in flexible OLED development, he became an ongoing counselor and product manager at ASUS who closely worked with the industrial design department and several functional engineering departments. In 2019, Shih-Hsuan received an M.F.A in industrial design from Rochester Institute of Technology.
