Biography

Natalia Escobar is from Miami, Florida. She attended Duke University, where she majored in Physics and minored in Computer Science. During the summer, she would participate in undergraduate research with the Medical Photonics Laboratory at Florida International University in partnership with Paths-Up to develop various different biomedical technologies. During the academic year, she researched with Duke’s Medium Energy Physics Group and received the Jefferson National Laboratory’s Assistantship for Minority/Female Undergraduate Research. After taking a gap year, in which she traveled, took design courses, and worked in a photo-lab, she realized her passion was in product design. Her current interests lie in sustainability and material science.
