Ian Halpern has served as a principal investigator for DARPA and NIH funded neurotechnologies and as a consultant for Fortune 500 companies. He has cofounded and served as CEO of two companies and is the sole or lead inventor of more than ten U.S. patents. He has invented, designed, and engineered many products including implanted neural interfaces and an FDA cleared life-supporting manual ventilator that won an international GOOD Design award.
